On Saturday, October 4, the Morinville Fire Hall opened its doors for its annual Open House
event, bringing together community members, first responders, and local partners for a day full
of education, connection, and fun. The event offered residents a valuable chance to refresh their
safety knowledge and engage directly with the people who work tirelessly to keep the
community safe.
Attendees enjoyed a welcoming atmosphere where they could learn practical safety tips and
participate in activities designed to promote awareness. One of the highlights was a
complimentary hot dog lunch, made possible by the generous support of Chris and Tracey’s
Morinville No Frills, who kindly provided all the groceries needed for the meal. To complement
the lunch, Tim Hortons Morinville offered coffee, hot chocolate, and Timbits, providing a warm
and tasty treat for visitors throughout the day.
The event would not have been possible without the dedication of the Community Safety team
and the paid-on-call firefighters, whose enthusiasm and professionalism were evident throughout
the open house. Also contributing to the success of the day were members of the Morinville
RCMP, who brought energy and engagement, making sure attendees had a memorable
experience.
This Open House is a perfect example of the strong partnerships and community spirit that make
Morinville such a great place to live, work, and play. The Town extends sincere thanks to
everyone who came out to participate, as well as to all the local businesses and agencies that
helped make the event a success. Their combined efforts ensured the day was not only
educational but also welcoming and enjoyable for all ages.
