Morinville’s Family Day Glow Skate, held on February 17 at the Morinville Leisure Centre’s Landrex Arena, was a vibrant and exciting event that brought together families and residents of all ages.
The ice was transformed into a lively, glowing space, with music provided by an on-ice DJ, colorful glowing lights, and a variety of exciting prizes. The event was the perfect setting for families to enjoy some quality time together while skating and celebrating Family Day. Whether gliding across the rink or cheering on friends and family, everyone had a great time.
In addition to the fun, the event gave back to the community by collecting donations for Jessie’s House and Eileen’s Place (Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation), which supports individuals and families fleeing domestic violence. Shoppers Drug Mart was also on-site, offering prize draws and free balloons for the kids, making the event even more special.
The Family Day Glow Skate was a great event that united the Morinville community for a great day of skating, entertainment, and giving. It celebrated family, generosity, and local spirit, creating lasting memories for everyone who attended.
