The Sturgeon Hockey Club’s U7 SU204 team recently wrapped up a heartwarming and successful community initiative. The young athletes held a clothing drive and made a generous donation to the Fusion Thrift Shoppe in Morinville, a local organization that supports various community needs.
Thanks to the efforts of the players, their families, and the generous support of the community, the team was able to collect a full truckload of gently used items. The donation will go a long way in assisting Fusion Thrift Shoppe with its mission to provide affordable items to local families, while also supporting their community outreach programs.
This event marks just one example of how the Sturgeon Hockey Club’s young athletes are not only excelling on the ice but also growing into caring and responsible individuals. The U7 SU204 team’s clothing drive serves as a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others.
