On April 4, members of the Morinville Fish and Game Association gathered for their monthly
social night—an evening that turned out to be much more than just a casual get-together. It was a
celebration of skill, dedication, and passion for the outdoors as awards were handed out to
members who achieved outstanding results in the past year.
The event, held in the spirit of community and friendly competition, recognized hunters and
photographers who demonstrated excellence in their fields. From impressive harvests to artistic
talent, this year’s honourees showed just how deep the local pool of skill and enthusiasm runs.
Congratulations to the following award recipients:
• Luc P. – Bear: 18-3/8
• Mike D. – Whitetail: 129-3/8
• Blake T. – Archery (Bear): 16-5/8
• Gordon S. – Elk: 188-1/8
• Blake T. – Moose: 150-3/8
• Samantha B. – Outstanding Youth Photo
Blake T. received recognition in two separate categories for both archery and moose, a testament
to his skill and consistency. The room lit up with pride as each recipient was called up to accept
their awards and have their achievements celebrated by fellow members.
One of the standout moments of the night came with the presentation of the outstanding youth
photo award to Samantha B. Her striking photo, featuring a vivid display of the northern lights
over rooftops and treetops, was not only a visual masterpiece but also a beautiful reminder of the
natural wonders that inspire the Fish and Game community.
Photos from the event capture the joy, camaraderie, and pride of everyone involved—from the
recipients holding their well-earned trophies to the supportive members who cheered them on.
The Morinville Fish and Game Association continues to foster a welcoming, family-friendly
environment for hunters, anglers, photographers, and conservationists of all ages. Events like
these strengthen community bonds and celebrate the many ways people connect with nature and
outdoor heritage.
To all the winners: congratulations! And to the entire membership—thank you for continuing to
make the Morinville Fish and Game Association a vibrant and inspiring part of our community.
