Sturgeon County’s first Career Connector event proved to be a resounding success, offering local youth a valuable introduction to career training opportunities in the heavy equipment operating sector. Held on February 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Interior Heavy Equipment Training School (IHE SCHOOL) Edmonton Site, the event attracted young people aged 16 to 24 who were eager to learn about the diverse opportunities available within the heavy equipment operation field. The evening consisted of detailed classroom sessions, where attendees were introduced to various types of machinery and equipment used in the industry. They also learned about the essential skills needed for success in this field.
