Sturgeon County’s Winterfest at the Sturgeon Agriplex was a huge success, attracting a record-breaking crowd of eager attendees. The event featured a variety of winter-themed activities, filling the air with excitement and festive cheer. It was a joyous occasion that created lasting memories for residents of all ages.
One of the main attractions was the scenic skating trail, where families and friends glided through the beautiful winter landscape, taking in the fresh air and stunning views. For nature enthusiasts, the Alberta Wildlife Workshop offered an educational and hands-on experience, giving participants the chance to learn about the province’s diverse wildlife.
In addition to these activities, Winterfest featured a host of fun-filled experiences for everyone to enjoy. Residents indulged in maple syrup sticks, while children got creative with coloring and cookie decorating. Outdoor activities like hayrides and pony rides added to the festive atmosphere, while the petting zoo allowed guests to interact with animals in a warm and friendly environment. Smores snacks were a big hit, providing the perfect treat for those seeking comfort in the crisp winter air.
