This spring, Paradise Acres Ranch in Sturgeon County is offering a transformative experience for youth through its three-day Spring Break Camp, running from 9 AM to 4 PM. Designed for children ages 8 to 16, the camp provides a rare opportunity to develop leadership, trust, communication, and self-esteem in a supportive and natural environment. With a limited number of 12 participants, the camp ensures personalized attention and a tailored experience for each camper.
With a primary emphasis on mental health, the camp aims to empower youth by fostering leadership, trust, communication, and self-esteem. Horses play a central role in the experience, as participants engage in both ground exercises and mounted activities designed to boost confidence, enhance teamwork, and strengthen both verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
“It’s fantastic to see the growth in our campers from day one to day three, its just phenomenal. We see so much growth in the kids and their confidence and it’s very special.” Said Ranch Manager & Trainer, Jocelyn LaCoste.
The program tailors its approach to each individual, allowing for a therapeutic pace that ensures everyone is supported in their personal journey. To make the experience accessible, there are several programs and subsidies offered to support those who require financial assistance.
At Paradise Acres Ranch, it’s not just about learning to work with horses; it’s about developing crucial life skills that will help shape the next generation of leaders. This spring, the ranch invites families to experience a transformative and rewarding camp focused on leadership, growth, and positive change.
