Stay active this winter: free access for youth at Morinville Leisure Centre

By: Haylee Winger
The Town of Morinville is offering local youth a fantastic opportunity to stay active and engaged
through the Pembina Youth Activate Program. Designed for youth ages 12 to 19, the program
provides free admission to the Morinville Leisure Centre every Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. During
these hours, participants can access the fitness centre and fieldhouse, offering a wide range of
activities to keep them moving and having fun.
From basketball and volleyball in the fieldhouse to fitness classes and cardio equipment in the
gym, there’s something for everyone. The initiative encourages healthy living while also giving
youth a chance to connect with peers in a positive environment. It’s a great way to combat the
winter blues and build both physical and mental well-being.
In addition to the physical benefits, the Pembina Youth Activate Program also helps foster a
sense of community among young residents. With supervised access to the leisure centre,
participants can enjoy a safe and welcoming space to unwind, socialize, and stay active during
the colder months.
Whether you’re looking to stay fit, try a new sport, or simply spend time with friends, the
Pembina Youth Activate Program is a perfect way to make the most of your Fridays. Don’t miss
out on this exciting opportunity to stay active and involved this winter season!
