Day of mourning

Flags were a half-mast at the Sturgeon County offices and other facilities across Canada on April 28 to mark the Day of Mourning. The annual remembrance honours workers who were killed, injured or suffered illness as a result of work-related incidents. According to the Worker Compensation Board of Alberta, 178 people were lost in 2021 due to workplace injury or illness. Photo by Grant Cree
