“We’ve almost got everything planted and ready to greet customers again,” said Deb Foisy, owner of Debs Greenhouse on Highway 642 west of Morinville. During the week of April 11 to 15, she hosted Easter Egg Hunts for Kids. It was a popular activity for families to enjoy a fun greenhouse tour while hunting for plastic Easter eggs.
“I just love the kids’ delight as they’re finding eggs and really enjoying it indoors,” said Foisy. “We love offering that to the community. It’s a great joy to have the kids in here.”
The spacious retail greenhouse has wide aisles inside for easy access. There are long rows of plants, hanging baskets and flowers for garden enthusiasts. “We think this is the happiest time of year,” said Foisy. “It’s still chilly outside, but it’s warm and sunny and tropical in here, and it puts a smile on your face when you walk in the door.”
Debs Greenhouse opens for the season in late April. The daily hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
